Conservatives Claim Nobody Cares About a 5 Year Old Speech

In his 2006 Big Blue Book of Bull Stephen Harper Said this: "A new Conservative Government will strengthen national unity and advance our interests on the world stage."

I'm not sure if this is what he had in mind.

It's international news and this Prime Minister has embarrassed Canada once again. He is the laughing stock of all world leaders at this moment. Compare that to a guy like Stephane Dion, who is critically acclaimed around the world by Environmentalists and world leaders alike.

Harper Denies Climate Change Again and Thomas Mulcair is Already the Next NDP Leader

News that Stephen Harper has refused to appear in a French leaders debate about environment comes as no surprise. What seems to be happening though is that Jack Layton wants to mimic the Prime Minister to a tee.

Two days ago he followed Harper's lead over not allowing The Green Leader, Elizabeth May into the debate, stating he wouldn't show up for it if she was in. If Steve's not going either am I. I'm starting to wonder if the Blue Machine is also running the Orange Dingy.

What's more interesting is that the Karl Belanger, the NDP spokeshead, states Mulcair would attend the debate instead of Jack. Mulcair? Is he the new leader of the NDP? Hell Jack! How's that for a knife in the front?

Anywho, it's just more proof that neither the NDP or the Conservatives have any plan for the environment. None. Nadda. Zilch.

What are the Conservatives So Afraid Of???

Seriously. This move has to make almost any Canadian suspect of their motives.

Government lawyers filed an application Friday to halt the investigation, saying the commission does not have jurisdiction to probe the complaints.

"(The) transfer of detainees is a military operation which does not form part of the 'policing duties and functions' for which the MPCC has oversight,'" the application states.

When the head of the Commission thinks there is something missing...there probably is!

MPCC chair Peter Tinsley had ordered that public hearings be held in the complaint, saying that government officials had not been entirely forthcoming in handing over relevant documents.

By launching public hearings, Tinsley would have the legal power to subpoena those documents.

Canadians Failing Canadians

First it was this young boy.

Then it was this guy from Alberta. (I did say his family would sue!)

And, now, there is this poor lady stuck in Mexico that, if not for guys like Dan Mcteague, would be rotting in jail until who knows when.

This stale, rotten Conservative government claims to be tough on the world stage, but sure isn't tough when it comes to bailing out Canadians abroad. What an embarrassment.

Harper and Kenney Obviously Failed Math Class

Yesterday his royal dictatorship, Stephen Harper, once again lied to the people of Canada. In Harper's speech he said, "these crime bills were stalled for a thousand days". Kenney then insisted on Duffy Live that this was, in fact, true.

Refresh my memory. Isn't there still just 365 days in a year - 366 in leap years? Didn't the Conservatives just get elected January 2006? Weren't there a few recesses in Parliament since then - especially the recent 4 month recess Harper just gave the government.

I'm no mathematician but I'd say Harper and Kenney are a tad off on the 1000 day thing, wouldn't you?
