Happy Once in a Lifetime Day

Or, as some people have called it, Happy Easter.

Their are a couple of things we get to see that are once in a lifetime events. Cal Ripken Jr., Wayne Gretzky, Haley's Comet, you know, that sort of thing. Today happens to be one of those things we will never see again in our lifetime.

This is the earliest calendar day that Easter will fall on for the next 220 years or so. Why? Because Easter falls on the first sunday after the first full moon after the first day of spring. It just so happened that the first day of spring was March 20th, 2008 and the first full moon was the day after on March 21st, 2008. So, sticking with the rule the first sunday after the full moon, Easter lands at a very early March 23rd 2008. Don't think it will be even earlier next year because it will be the second sunday in April next year.

So, have a Happy Easter/Once in a lifetime day.
