Hello everyone!
Apparently Facebook has started SELLING user information to third parties. They call it the "Facebook Development Platform."
To restrict use of your information, do the following:
1. Click "Privacy" on top right.
2. Under the "Facebook Platform" section click"Edit Settings".
3. Scroll down to the bottom and UNCHECK ALL of the items under facebook platform.
Most creepy is the inclusion of photographs!
Regards
Jim

there was a good article in the last macleans about this...specifically about google and microsoft's war for internet supremacy. essentially google sells the info from users searches to advertisers and are begining to sell photographs and other things, like facebook is doing. quite creepy i must concur. essentially the thesis of the article is that these free services offered over the internet are not free...we are paying with our privacy. most disconcerting is that the terms of the transaction are not known to most users. (i.e. that there persoanl info is being sold to third parties).
YOu might want to read about the feature of facebook platform before you comment.
"For these applications, your information will only be available to
(b)friends and other users who can already see your information on Facebook(/b)."
Anyone who uses Facebook needs to watch this.
