He really liked Iggy and the Iggy supporters in his neck of the woods last time, and as he said, he initially supported Dion because that's what Wilfert, his MP, was doing. He grew into his Dionistism, as we know, but I always thought that if it hadn't been for the Wilfert loyalty, Iggy would have been his natural choice. He means well but he'll always be a Martinite in his soul and support that kind of politics. Warren's in for the $ and Cherniak for the likeminded politics & power, but I am disappointed by BCer. Maybe his is one of those "I've got to make a hardheaded decision for the good of the party", however much it contradicts everything he's ever said or stood for. It's the kind of thinking that got us Turner instead of Chrétien and Martin without a real race. Well, there's still time to change his mind. He should investigate that "specificity" that Iggy feels is so "misplaced".
Sir Robert makes a very good point about Ignatieff's campaign, which obviously hasn't stopped in the last two years. How do you take over the Party in two days exactly?
We really need to think about whether someone who did nothing but undermine the leader and continue his own campaign for two years deserves our support, now or after he wins if he does.

Good for him. Despite that, it won't rule out Ignatieff - unless you've got some Pearson span ready to announce, James?
If I come in support of Iggy, THEN he's really screwed.
I thought he was out of politics.
If Kinsella AND Cherniak agree on something, it would seem to merit at least cursory examination, no? ;)
No bcer, it doesn't.

All the more reason to support Bob Rae and to keep my Rae endorsement button on my site until the day of the convention vote.
Werner Patels a Liberal now? I thought you were NDP, or was it Conservative....no, NDP was your last home.
No one supporting LeBlanc?
Rae is the last person I'd support. He's a little slick for my liking and he's a Power Corp./back room boy.
This whole whose a Chretienite and Martinite is BS. Iggy and Rae have people from both camps.

Yes, s.k., that is a very interesting point. Unless the Iggy supporters are now proud of their 'takeover' that is....
