Here's one of Harper's lines:
"Minister Ritz clearly did not intend to make any such comments publicly and has thoroughly apologized," the prime minister said.
Oh. Well that settles that I guess. The "jokes" weren't meant to be public.
The "What Do I Know Grit"
"Minister Ritz clearly did not intend to make any such comments publicly and has thoroughly apologized," the prime minister said.

I find it really hard to believe that Harper didn't know about these comments until Wednesday. I wonder how many other things will come out before voting day?
Mike Duffy has an expert on his show tonight. Duffy asked him what other crisis was comparable. The guy said Walkerton and SARS.
...then it occurred to me, ALL of them happened under Tory rule.
Yes, the comments were made during a private meeting.
What is not being discussed is what else is being dicussed behind the closed doors of the Conservative Party.
Let me ask this, would this moron, Gerry Ritz, have even thought of a joke, if his "Leader", Stephen Harper and the Conservative caucus were taking the outbreak seriously???
The joke arose from the attitude that is so obviously held by the Conservatives.
They really only care about attacking their opposition (and in Ritz's case hoping that they die) and about dismantling the federal government like their old master Mike Harris did in Ontario.
