They trampled all over her. They called the RCMP on her. They turfed her from the Party. They told her she ain't allowed back.
And, somehow, she stood up yesterday and voted WITH the government and did not find it in contempt. Bizarre really.

Depending on how Guergis campaigns, she can be a spoiler for the local Conservative candidate. She doesn't need to win. She just has to take away votes from the Conservative candidate. By not finding the Conservative government in contempt, she did not cross the metaphorical line by being in sympathy with the opposition.
It's not a question of *sympathy* with opposition - the CPC actions that received a judgement of contempt against Parliament are facts, not ideology - but of solidarity with one's cronies.
Guergis wants back into the ReformaTory party. Voting along with the caucus is a requirement.
Poor Helena...after all that has happened to her, she still clings to the slightest hope that she'll be allowed/invited back into the Harper fold someday - still seeking Harper's approval after all the battering she's taken at his hand. Very sad actually.
Stockholm.
