To All Montreal Liberals: I ask you to join Martin Cauchon's Cause
Who better to fight Tom Mulcair than Martin Cauchon? I for one am ready to board a plane tomorrow to help this man win - whether it be a nomination first, or a straight out election battle. Who among you is with me?

No thank you. This guy was Justice Minster in a Qu ridding while the Liberals were stealing money from Canada. Is that Justice? He never did his job while his party made off with money from Canadians. I think I will stick with Mulcair an honest Canadian who cares about the integrity of Canada and Quebec.

I never claimed he stole money in fact I can state with out a doubt he did not. However he did have ties to Lafleur who did when he was Justice minster. As reported on the Cbc.
"Lafleur admits that he socialized with prominent Liberals, including Chrétien cabinet ministers Martin Cauchon and Alfonso Gagliano, but denies discussing the sponsorship program with them or getting political direction from the government."

I guess like Mr. Ignatieff I can also admit when I am wrong.
It will be a hard fought fight and if he can avoid Sponsorship or play it as you have he will have a really good shot. I welcome more progressive members of the Liberal party to run. I think we can agree that either way this is going to be a win for the ridding.
While I can not say I am in love with Cauchon same sex marriage and drug reform where great things.

I suppose this works out okay. But I wonder about a guy whose been retired five years suddenly getting back into the game.
I mean, some old folks go see the Rolling Stones out of nostalgia, but people who can still hear eventually figure out that they suck. Same thing here, maybe?
Um. BCL, it was call the "Martin Years", where many a good man a woman were banished to the darklands.
I know this buy in the war room that.....well, we'll save that for another time.
And, I'd hardly ever consider Cauchon old at 47 years of age.
Cauchon/Mulcair battle will be interesting. Both are good candidates.
Given how Iggy and Fred Flinstone (or is that Coderre) are governing the Quebec wing, I'll stay out of this for now.
The only people perpetuating Gomery and implying that Cauchon was implicated in it are the ones on this blog.

Well, I for one am looking forward to this slugfest between two titans like Cauchon and Mulcair. While I've changed my position on same sex marriage, I respect Mr. Cauchon as a die-hard Liberal willing to stand up and fight.
I mean, if he fought so hard against his party's own QC Lieutenant as well as his own leader to just get the right to run, what do you think he'll do to Thomas Mulcair, a former Liberal and the first NDP MP in Quebec in almost 20 years?
I am simply glad that there is a choice though I do agree that Cauchon is someone that could result in Mulcair's defeat in the next election.
