Currently youth members represent somewhere around 10% of the total membership of the Liberal Party of Canada.
Anywho, I think it's only fair that the other 90% of the Liberal Party of Canada get at least a 25% - 50% vote on the Youth elections. After all, the youth have a seat at the table on all the national commissions and the National Executive. Shouldn't the 90% of the Liberal Party have some kind say on who those youth representatives are?
Just sayin'.

James - I don't mean to hi-jack your blog - but I am embrassed to admit I wasn’t aware until today of the arbitrary detention of an Iranian-Canadian blogger, Hossein Derakhshan, who was arrested in Iran on November 1, 2008 and has been held since, without charge - who oddly enough, was an advocate of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, but, criticized fundamentalist Muslim leaders and “wrote about” the “Pure Imams” of Islam.
This blogger - known by many as the God-father of Iranian bloggers, I think merits non-partisan support of all Canadian political bloggers.. and it’s tragic our MSM hasn’t brought this to our attention, a la Omar Khadr, etc..
Hijacked is a very heavily utilized word today.

I would encourage others to write to the PM as well, or to their own party leader.. this shouldn't be ignored by our politicians or our media.
Hossein Derakhshan had a belief that blogging was a means to expand understanding and sought to bridge the gap between Iran and Israel in particular. It seems to me that it is encumbant on those of us who blog to perhaps take notice of this case and help as we can.
