It's Stupid Comments Like These...

...that make some people wanna stay in the dressing room and not lace up the skates.

One supporter enthuses he beat "the Wayne Gretzky of politics" (Bob Rae) after only two years in Parliament.

Hint to said supporter: in order for one to beat another, there has to be a contest.

Diebel is a strange writer don't you think?

I don't pay attention to her anymore.

She's strange and needs a proper haircut.

Are you getting tired of this James? Its time to move on...

Will they? Could they?
Doesn't look like it.

It's sad because Linda Diebel used to be a great journalist

now she just turned into another Jan Wong or Christie Blatchford.

I agree with you both Sandi and Antonio, but who are these idiot supporters?

It's stupid for so many reasons, but #1 among them is calling Rae 'the Gretzky of politics'

Excuse me?

This guy was loathed for years after his disaster of a government in Ontario. He lost to Stephane Dion, and got knocked out early in this year's leadership race because Liberals were correctly worried about his baggage.

I don't recall Gretzky ever falling on his face in such a repeated, and spectacular manner.

Kinda like your comment is stupid since Mr. Rae was not going to be allowed the privilege of the entire member ship to vote for leader.

I assume that's what you mean by being knocked out early.

Uh.. the idea that any Canadian politician would be compared to Wayne Gretzky is beyond stupid.. and following upon that, as you point out, the suggestion that gaining the leadership in some stupid rush to fill a vacancy is some "victory" is also, well, mindless, media swill. OMG our media is so beyond ignorant it's almost embarassing.

Dude, it's time to move on. Like it or not, Rae lost. He's accepted it for the good of the party, isn't it time you heeded his advice?

We need to move together towards a unified goal of advancing our party so we are better able to take government. You know as well as anyone that when that moment comes Mr. Rae will be rewarded with a key role to help support our new leader.

This sniping and anger is only hurting yourself.

James Curran said...

Mr. Rae doesn't need your reward dude.

Hurt myself? Give your head a shake buddy.

Do you see me giving ridiculous comments to the likes of Diebel? No. Some freaking mindless supporters have to say shit like that.

Take your coronation. Enjoy.

The nerve of that anonymous supporter...to have the audacity to compare Bob Rae's political ability to Wayne Gretzky's hockey ability. How very... complementary.

Granted Bob Rae can probably survive without the backhanded compliment...but you could consider taking it in the spirit it was offered.
