Big News For Dominic Leblanc

This announcement is big for Dominic. It's no accident that the C-Grit is one of the biggest and best Libloggers out there. Dan's move there was logical given that most of Kennedy's youth team has gone to Leblanc.

Congrats to Dominic and his team.

I like the maturity in his reasoning. He didn't bash or attack anyone (CalgGrit, that is).

Cute about the bad hair - some men comb their hair like that if the hairline is receding and/or if he should be elected leader - an image person will do something there.

I resent this "age" stuff. Absolutely insulting to this that anyone over 40 or 45 is over the hill.

Funny isn't it - I was watching the talking heads discussing if Hillary Clinton should take the position of Sec. of State as it my hinder her chances to run again - they all said she was still young enough to pursue running for president down the road-she is 61.

Age discriminatin! Ya, it bothers me because I am in that age group and I'm tired of the insults. Hey, 80 old and too old for this. 59/60/61 up to 68 - not.

Tupper, Pearson, St. Laurent, Dief, (almost, by a couple of months) Chretien, Martin... all over 60 when they took office.

Pearson in particular is one to note since his was one of, if not the, most activist and rejuevenating terms in the history of Canada.

Be wary about supporting the dark horse.. history wasn't kind the last time that gambit was tried.

I prefer Leblanc, but I can't envision a scenario in which he can break through? He needs to finish second on the first ballot and then have Rae's folk come over to him. I have some unease with regards to Iggy and his team, but should I make a practical choice and go with him? I like Rae too and moved over to him in Montreal, doing the "Oh Rae Oh Rae Oh Rae". Can't decide. Too bad GK wasnt in, as he would have been my choice. Maybe, someone should start a draft GK movement (I know he has family issues).

It would have been nice to see GK in the race... for us though, not for him. As other commenters have pointed out, it is very unlikely he could have won and so his star would have dimmed considerably after a third leadership loss.

As for a draft GK movement, that will be difficult as the bulk of GK's organization is now with Iggy as the press has been reporting.

GK was out a week ago and isn't coming back. Some would argue that GK's real organization is with Dominic and not Iggy Ted....save for Nav Bains.
