for whatever reason..i just don't see codeere running..this thing will come down to three...rae / ignatieff or mckenna...if mckenna goes than either rae or iggy or both will drop out....
Duffy also said "worst showing" - but when one considers the number of his opponents - the other parties, the MSM, and then the unamed, the anonymous and the insiders all running against him, 76 was an amazing # to keep.
Too bad there wasn't a write-in vote for the grassroots as I can't see anyone that is going to have the support M. Dion would have had in the next election once the general public realizes what they could have had & compares it to what they're waking up with.
I can't believe everyone is forgetting about Dr. Hedy Fry. She really is a visionary and very honourable with impeccable progressive credentials. Isn't it the turn of a woman of colour?
Can't for the life of me understand why anyone is mentioning McKenna. He's anti-abortion, for cripes sake. Half the party will be against him from the get go. The Blogging Tories are already gleeful about the possibility.
Hey, maybe we should have a contest only among the women. Hedy Fry, Martha Hall Findlay, Carolyn Bennett and a couple of new faces. I've heard Louise Arbour's name and that would get me interested.
I hope the number of candidates is fewer than last time. It was a bit overwhelming.

Holy crap, maybe that's what the talking heads mean when they blather about "moving the party to the center".
Yeah, that pretty much makes McKenna unelectable in much of Canada, from what I understand of its electorate. Certainly he wouldn't pass muster as a leadership candidate for the Liberal party of all things.
Mckenna's only dead in the water if you keep carrying the CON water for them. He's no more anti-abortion than Martin was... LIke many of our party's leaders, their personal opinion didn't stand in the way of the view that Canadians want laws that reflect a woman's right to choose. There are plenty of Liberals who are torn by the debate, but accept and protect the current definition.
Well we all know who he will send his delegates to at convention. it's a ploy to get post the minimum threshold for 1 delegate and then send them to Iggy at convention, making it look like the guy has momentum, since absolutely no one went to him at convention last time.
It's also a scare tactic in Quebec put out by the ignatieff people. Scary stuff kids if you don't vote for Iggy, Coderre will be leader. yawn.

Duffy can go **** himself.
His name is CODERRE (no r before d).
I don't know why he's considering running. He won't get much support.
OOPS!
TOLD Duffy? - little voice inside heads speaks again.

Anyone that Mike Duffy brings forth should be discounted from the start. It's probably birdies from the BT who are whispering in his ear!
Has anyone else seen the campaign from the Council of Canadians for a coalition government today?

Nobody can really afford this leadership Deb. Martha certainly can't. Louise is nice, but no spring chicken.
McKenna won't runn because Rae and Iggy's team will use intimidation tactics to scare him off.
Perhaps young David McGuinty or Domenic Leblanc. I like Navdeep Bains too.

Yeah, McKenna's dead in the water. When the Blogging Tories are gaga about anything then you know it's a dead issue.
