Harper's Pet Peeve: Reality!!!
Apparently nothing has changed since Stephen Harper left high school.
And, while other leaders chose to campaign in the most important election for a generation to come, the Ontario Provincial Police had to ask the taxpayers to pay for them to go and metal detect a pool hall so His Royal Highness Steve Harper could have some beers with his buddies. That's a reality check! Your tax dollars in action folks.

Reach for the Top.
Yup, nothing's changed. top of the class, reaching for the top.
Yup, nothing's changed. top of the class, reaching for the top.
And she gets paid to write this.
Nice work if you can get it, eh Shillson?
Yes she does. She forgot the part about Harper being a YOUNG LIBERAL though.
I was in the same High School with him and trust me, there was nothing l/Liberal about that guy.
The missing years in his life are no mystery really. No one was around to take notice.
Now, I kind of wish I had.
Ignatieff, Rae, Dion - also smart. These guys actually did something with their brains - they furthered themselves. Rae's a Rhodes Scholar, Ignatieff considered among the most intellectual in the world. Dion given awards internationally for his intelligence.
Speaking of Reach for the Top - you have to enter and want to be in the competition - how many "brainy people" didn't enter?
Harper - garden variety, anyone can get MBA.
Harper is lazy which is a waste of brains.
Hey Wilson... Welcome back... Too busy on the leader's tour to lurk lately?
I think Conservatives are impressed when one of their own is an "elite/elitist". Reach for the Toppers are rare in their party. In Liberal political circles it's rare if one of us politicos WASN'T on the "Reach For The Top" or Debate Team. I was on my "Reach for the Top" Team, and was captain of my debate team. I also played football and hockey. Yeah... some of us are also well-rounded... I guess that's why they call us the "elite"... lol...
Love Harper's labels - when he wants to name-call... When he's hiding his own past, then he is someone "who's changed". Yeah, right. His mentality really hasn't changed since the NCC days. He is the same wolf in sheep's clothing. They love to trot out the "oh, but he's changed" since the:
1) Western ghettos comments
2) The firewall comments
3) The "Northern European Welfare state" comments (which insulted both Canadians AND Europeans)
4) incessant attacks on Canada in his blessed "promised land" of USA
Harper hasn't changed, and the public - 60% of them - know this. They are just trying to figure out how best to dump him. In the next couple of weeks we'll see the results of that need... The hope lies with the Liberal Party - the only hope we have.
Canada will return to the Center.
Hitler was a Genius..where did that get him?

Of course you realize being the PM does come with some security measures and risk, right? But hey, since you brought it up about taxpayer dollars, let's go back to the 2006 election. Then PM Liberal Paul Martin had the OPP close down a major highway, during rush hour no less, so his entourage could attend a photo-op shortly after the Jane Creba murder.
Forget those taxpayer dollars for the OPP to close the highway, let's talk out of pocket money. I lost $70 in pay sitting in the gridlock caused by his 10 minute photo-op. But hey, he's a Liberal, it's ok.
Apples to oranges as usual. Harper went for beers with his buddies, not to a murder scene. What a bird you are.
Right, apples to oranges. For someone involved in politics, you must be well aware of the security that travels with whoever the sitting PM is.
You really think when Chretien went out for golf and a few drinks with his buddies, taxpayers were not covering the security cost of the RCMP and whatever local forces needed to be involved?
Get a grip on reality man.
You mean like when Harper feels like going to a hockey game with his buddies? You get a grip! Going to your HS reunion, going to the before glow party on the taxpayers dime is another.
Chretien on a skiing trip James?
Give it a rest. You know damn well what the RCMP dictates as to security for the sitting PM, whoever that may be. Your looking for dirt where there is none.
I realize you are a little stressed with your current leader and the polling numbers. Just relax a little bit. If Harper wins the election, Liberal's should just accept the reality that he was the choice of Canadian's on election day.
I will agree with you on one thing. I find it unbelievable the NDP will pass the Lib's on election day. Dion would really have to blow the english debate for that to happen.
Chretien? John A. MacDonald buying drinks at a bar on the public purse. I'm not stressed at all. Like Warren Kinsella, many of us have been underutilized and not listened to. Why should I be stressed?
It'll all work out on the 15th when Stephane is the new PM.
Now scurry back to the campaign bus with Stevie.
"It'll all work out on the 15th when Stephane is the new PM."
Maybe you aren't stressed out, you still seem to have your sense of humor.
