Dippers to Change Their Name

Look out Thomas Mulcair, there's a new leadership candidate in town. That's right. Michael Byers is his name. Hear him roar.

Is your headline NOT a bit presumptive ... you make it sound like it is a done deal?

You Libs really are scared of Mulcair aren't you?!

I think you should be a little more concerned about un-elected candidates changing your whole entire party before they even begin to campaign.

Byers is merely articulating something that is discussed in the party internally - this is not an earth shaking revelation.

I am more interested in observing the 'Mulcair factor' that seems to give Libs 'the fear.' The prospect of losing Liberal seats in Quebec to New Democrats is real and you folks may want to start listening to some of the warnings that your Mr. Kennedy is giving you.

There has been talk on and off for years about a possible name change for the party. Byers speculation - no big deal. Your constant attempts to spin stories of NDP caucus warfare are so far from the truth it really is laughable. The current caucus is the strongest and most united caucus in decades. The NDP is attracting fantastic candidates. It is the LPC that continues to have MPs compromising party unity and messaging (Turner, Boshcoff, Kennedy, Hall-Finlay) and a leader who refuses to lead (abstention policy).

Laughable. OMG. I almost fell off my seat Dog. Lose seats to the Dippers in PQ? now that's funny.

And, Jay, how long has this guy been a member of your caucus? You guys are hilarious today.

"Lose seats to the Dippers in PQ? now that's funny." ...

Yes it is hilarious how badly the Libs are doing - so bad in fact that they lost one of their safest seats in Quebec to the New Democrats!

That was merely the first of many yet to come!

James: I didn't suggest that Byers is part of caucus but one of the fantastic candidates that I mentioned... clearly you are smoking some fun stuff today if you find either leftdog or my comments 'hilarious' since they are perfectly reasonable points...just don't get behind the wheel for another 4 to 6 hrs, cops can now test for intoxicants other than booze ;)

Stop it. Seriously. Stop. My ribs are beginning to get sore.

Your 11 percent in Quebec is laughable lefty. And, the Liberals just gained 13 points on the Cons. Oh yes. We sure are floundering.

Amazing how the NDP'rs and Mulcair are sitting on Harper's lap attacking the Liberals.......aren't they suppose to attack Harper?

If they do change their name they should be honest - either Labour Party like in Britain and Australia or Social Democratic Party - the other name is misleading and dishonest.

As usual Liberals seem to think that one can not both stand up to Harper and criticize the Liberals. The NDP is not the auxiliary of the LPC (unlike the Greens) the NDP will continue to defend Canadian values and continue to point out that the REAL progressive choice for Canadian voters is the NDP.

Um. You voted against Kelowna, Kids and Kyoto in '95.

And on Question period, while Scottt Brison was attacking the Conservatives, your hero Mulcair was concerned about who tipped of the Liberals and that maybe there was to sets of rules one for the Liberals and one for the Liberals. Um. No mention of the NDP.

Now that's really values at its best. He had a chance to crush Poilievre and he attacked the media and the Liberals instead.
