Quick! Who Said This?

“Information is the lifeblood of a democracy. Without adequate access to key information about government policies and programs, citizens and parliamentarians cannot make informed decisions and incompetent or corrupt governments can be hidden under a cloak of secrecy.”

I've shared some of those concerns myself.

But yet, notwithstanding all of it.. the polls show the Conservatives increasing their lead.

Time for a new Liberal leader?

Th worst time to pick a new leader is before an election.Whatever makes one think this would work, is not thinking straight!!!!!

If the conservatives had any political sense they would ditch Harper now.

They are quite popular (despite Harper). But Harper is the reason why many people will not vote for his party.

A new, more centrist leader (say: centre-left socially, centre-right economically) could probably win an election with a majority.

But the longer Harper stays in power, the less chance there is of such a leader emerging from his caucus. It's obvious Harper cannot abide criticism from the media or opposition. Think of what it must be like in his caucus!
