Harper Government Urges Ceasefire

But uses the Bush line in its press release. More "copycat politics" by the Cons.

Cannon: "We urge renewed international diplomatic efforts to achieve a sustainable and durable ceasefire, starting with the halting of all rocket attacks on Israel."

Rice: Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Friday that the people of Gaza are being held hostage by Hamas. At the White House Friday morning she said the U.S. wants a "durable and sustainable" ceasefire there.

It's an echo, an echo, an echo, an echo.......

Funny this story is nowhere to be found on Canadian news sites.

I'm still waiting for someone in our government to echo what Condi said about the legal and internationally monitored election of the Hamas government being an "illegal coup against the forces of (Palestinian Authority) President Mahmoud Abbas."

These people really do live in their own discrete reality, don't they?

The media has been very quiet on a lot of important issues lately. Wonder what's up with that?

Why is it "copycat politics" just because Harper has the same opinion as other leaders do? Nicolas Sarkozy, Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Leading Saudi paper: Hamas to blame for conflict, Fatah blames Hamas for Israel’s bombardment of Gaza,

By looking at your blog it seems you are upset at the civilian deaths, wich is understandable. But as recently seen there would be 16 less civilian deaths if hamas leader Sheikh Nizar Rayyan
didnt store missiles in his home while letting his 4 wives and 12 kids stay there at the same time.

And I'm sure a few of these unfortunate people can be included in civilian deaths.

"Fatah officials in Ramallah told The Jerusalem Post that Hamas militiamen had been assaulting many Fatah activists since the beginning of the operation last Saturday. They said at least 75 activists were shot in the legs while others had their hands broken"

Imagine that, hamas shooting or maiming the people that voted the hamas in.

If hamas didn't launch up to 80 missiles a day at Israel before the war then there wouldn't be a war, if there wasn't a war then there wouldn't be dead palestinians, there is no denying that hamas is responsible for every civilian palistinian.

What's your point? That I agree with the existance of Hamas? Well, I don't. It's that simple really.

And the Conservatives should just learn to write their own speeches was my point.

personally I don't think three words is enough to go on for plagiarism.
