It's Official...Senator Mike Duffy

You too can be one if you use your show in the middle of an election to stomp out the hopes of a Liberal leader. Hear that Don Newman? Goodbye Mike. Can't say I'll miss your ridiculous bias. I'm all for Graham Richardson stepping into that show.

Rounding out the 18 important appointees are:

former broadcaster Pamela Wallin
skier Nancy Greene Raine
Former Newfoundland MP Fabian Manning
Stephen Greene, Deputy Chief of Staff to Nova Scotia Premier Rodney MacDonald
Conservative Party fundraiser Irving Gerstein
Patrick Brazeau, National Chief of the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples
Halifax lawyer Fred Dickson
New Brunswick MLA Percy Mockler
New Brunswick lawyer John D. Wallace
Halifax Conservative organizer Michael L. MacDonald
Former Quebec MP Suzanne Fortin-Duplessis
Montreal businessman Leo Housakos
Former Quebec MNA Michel Rivard
Fundraiser Nicole Eaton
B.C. cultural activist Yonah Martin
Richard Neufeld, B.C.'s Minister of Energy Mines and Petroleum Resources
Former member of the Yukon Legislative Assembly Hector Daniel Lang
After years of successive Liberal

I completely believed the Duffy rumour to be just ridiculous gossip.

Satire is dead.

gotta love the appointment of M. Rivard. I guess that Harper has embraced a "seperatist coalition" of his own. I wonder if he has a special veto of his own too ;)

Whooee! I reckon there's a silver linin'. Ol' Moonface won't be on the TV spoutin' off so much. I hope the reduced workload don't lead to ol' Mike lettin' hisself go an' gettin' all soft an' outta shape.

Harper appoints a "separatist", Rivard. So much for attacking the coalition without being a hypocrite.

No NDP - imangine that.

Harper know the coalition is dead Sandi. Therefore who cares about the Bloc.

In a general election though, he can now pander to those same Bloquistes that he just got crushed by in October. He can say look at me. I love your nation and your people. Vote for me!

Whether the coalition is dead or not - Harper uses it.

What qualifications does Nancy Greene have other than being a terrific athlete. Maybe she has some I don't know about.

Other athletes, like Mahovolich, I believe are lawyers.

James Curran said...

Lawyers? WTF? Thank God Mahovolich ain't one of those. Frank doesn't even have a degree. Only an honourary one.

Nancy however hold an LLD. Certainly that makes her a shyster. She only gets to serve for 9.5 years more too.

Both are members of the Order of Canada though

RS, I think you're confused with Ken Dryden, he's a lawyer.

And take it easy on us lawyers Jim! You're going to need us to protect your constitutional rights if ever Harper gets his majority! ;-)
