Remind Me Again. Who Did John McKay Back At Leadership?

The gloves are off. No more backstabbing. Let's stab him in the front now. Right John McKay. Right.

I forgot Marcel Proulx. He was quoted the other day, though I can't find the source anymore.

I've made my comment that these people are morons and they should let Stephane decide when he is ready. The man just went through a brutal election and deserves time to reflect.

That said, you can hardly blame these people for voicing their opinions. What's Dion going to do to them? Not give them a crucial opposition critic portfolio? Seat them in the nosebleed section of the House (i.e. the very back row)? Oh my stars and garters!

Some are past their "best before date" so it wouldn't hurt to urge them on that way.

Oh yeah, that whole 1988 crowd are definitely "expired" and should have been gone by now. Tom Wappel got the message.

The only exception? Albina Guarnieri, the MP from Mississauga East Cooksville. Throughout 20 years of public service, she's remained dignified even if the national party lost. She should be in there for another 10 years.

It isn't just the old timers. My Liberal friends, meet your new MP for Avalon, courtesy (at least in part) of Premier Williams's ABC campaign, Scott Andrews. He seems to be trying to make a good first impression, but I'll let you all be the judge.

Of course, as a tory I'm far too biased to give you an assessment of Scott. Perhaps he'll make a fine MP. All I'll say is that before benefiting from Danny W's tacit endorsement, I think Scott had some important position or another with the Liberal Party of NL at around the time of the last provincial election.

How did Scott & Co. do that time around? Well...

Enjoy having him on your team.
