This guy's name has been touted for the Liberal Leadership race. My guess is that he would gain support quite quickly should he choose to step up to the plate.
I think it might be nice to have a non-Quebec leader for the first time in 20 years, and I think I'm not the only one thinking that which will hurt Cauchon.
I do like him though, it was a shame we lost him and got Lapierre (Thanks Martin Gang!)
I still am holding out hope than Kennedy will run.

The only problem here is that his wife didn't let him run in Outremont in the past election, for family reasons.
Running for leadership and becoming PM takes more time than to represent Outremont in the House. ;-)
I doubt that was his real reason...but he would have won there, as you know. Now we have the plague known as Mulcair there.
