is gender diversity the only kind that matters?

Yup, still on the campaign trail on the taxpayers'dime, obviously.

So, the world is in an economic tizzy - Harper wasted $300 million on an unnecessary election, "extended" cabinet (more cost to taxpayers) and made sure he covered every territory/province/gender he could - for the next election.

Is it important to pick someone because of province - or should it be strictly ability?

Many of the new Cabinet appointees are in junior Cabinet position. Still the same group of guys. Only the Priorities and Planning Committee members matter.
