...or, in this case, the building.
Just another way to stem the tide of crime. The Toronto District Catholic School Board is being proactive about keeping their students safe and sound. This summer the Board is investing $700k to keep their students out of harm's way.
With any luck, that other school board will think of doing something similar.
Oh, and here's a tip for the Attorney General and Justice Minister of Canada. Mandatory jail time for anyone caught on these cameras near a school yard selling drugs, carrying a weapon, committing a violent crime. That might just beat blaming the Liberal Senators for gun crimes.

Wow. Astounding.
"Mandatory jail time for anyone caught on these cameras near a school yard selling drugs, carrying a weapon, committing a violent crime."
So you believe people are guilty until proven innocent? So much for due process. Just a waste of time anyways, right? Even if its a 13 year old caught on tape. Through them in jail.
Ever hear of believe half of what you hear and none of what you see?
I work with children and the behaviors of kids are such that when they have items prohibited by schools such as iPods, etc they kind of do this thing where they hide what they are doing and it looks very much like drug dealing from a far. Yet you want then dragged off.
Just a question but are you married to Suzanne at Big Blue wave or Myron Thompson's love child?
Correction
Should be half of what you see and none of what you hear.
Really now? 22 states have mandatory sentencing for those caught with drugs near a school yard.
Do you think it would be easier to convict the killers of Jordan Manners if it was caught on camera at CW Jefferys? I do.
How about kids being beat up in school yards? Think it would be easier to suspend the thugs committing the offense? I do.
Cameras work.
